No call from the job...

I applied at Smokin' Joes, a gas station/grocery store on the indian reservation, but no call. It's been almost 3 weeks.

I also bought a new mouse, a Logitech MX518 off of ebay. Haven't recieved it yet, ill give them some time though.

Anyway, Today feels like a really lazy day. I went to bed around 4 and woke up at 9, that could be why though.

And I also got Far Cry 2, im only 4% done with it and ive had it for about a week! wtf!? exactly! its huge!

Intel to drop overclocking for mainstream Nehalems!

This is interesting...Wonder why they would?

"this is very sad news for all enthusiasts, as it means that a huge group of users will never be able to afford to buy an overclockable platform, from Intel, that is."

XP Lite Pt. 4

Well, I'm DEFINITELY doing it on friday. I ran out of time this weekend, so I'll be able to try it next weekend for sure. What do you guys want to see with it? I have very few readers at the moment, but still! Comment if you read this.

XP Lite P3!

Turns out, I might be able to try it on that laptop afterall! I'm putting it on the laptop tomorrow, and some old computer that a family friend dropped off for us :D(i don't need it though :D:D)
Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it goes(including pictures of the process and final!) Only problem with the laptop though, is the screen is broken. So, the pictures will be of a 17in flat crt hooked up to the laptop. But still, good enough right? Be sure to sign up for the sites below in the post before this! :D

XP Lite Continued/Sites I mentioned

Well, Maybe I'm not getting the slow laptop for a little while yet, :( Oh well, I got other things to try XP Lite on.

Also, The sites I said about before would be these here -
Swatcash - It is a pretty neat site :P Has like an army type game game built in, and the offers are easy to fill out and get paid.

AdverCash - This site has PayToClick 1c ads, and a bunch of $1 offers to get payed by. Also, you get lottery tickets every 20 ads or so that you view!

Bux.To - This site is a little slower, and only has ads to view that pay a few cents each. Still a nice site though, I suggest sign up.

Windows XP Lite!

Well, I 'got' Windows XP Lite w/ SP3, and I'll be trying it out on the weekend on a pretty slow laptop :P I'll let you guys know how it goes. But until then, Heres a bunny with a pancake on its head. I tried WXP Lite on a different slow laptop, but the cd drive on that one is reaaaly screwy :D

On a serious note, I found a TON of sites that will give you money for doing offers, and I will post links in a little bit to them. Stay tuned :D

Uwe Boll responds to the petition to end his career!

Well, as you guys may or may not know, Uwe Boll is a film director. A bad one. And theres a petition on the internet, that if it gets 1 Million signatures, Uwe Boll said he would stop making films.

his response -

SIGN THIS PETITION NOW!

Really though, he sounds quite pissed about the whole petition. Has anyone even seen the Far Cry movie trailer? It's REALLY changed alot from the game, and for the worse. Stop making films Uwe.

edit-just watched the postal movie trailer, It's a little better, but still not all that good. If He would have made it like the original, instead of some postal hippie fighting the Iraqi war, maybe it would be worth seeing..

Steven Spielberg is a Crysis Fan!!

I thought this was Really neat, Steven Spielberg is a crysis fan!! Who would have thought? Also, apparently he helped with the story! Heres a small bit of the article

""I was actually pretty surprised to find out how much of a gamer Steven Spielberg is. He - regularly, when we meet with him - makes references to games that a lot of us game developers haven't played or haven't played in years. But also recent games, like Crysis, he talks a lot about.""

My thoughts on CoD4

Well I got CoD4 the other day, its pretty fun :)

The SP is very short, but really immerses you into it. They did a good job at making the modern war feel, and graphics are pretty good as well. It plays maxed out @ 1440x900 for me smooth as butter(like most games :P ) and the MP is great. The Level system in MP is a nice little addon too :) As soon as you get to higher levels you unlock more weapons and abilities for multiplayer matches, which people already say I hack in @ level 16 :X ...
The MP also has some problems. It will Randomly crash my pc! Punkbuster server or not, it will just randomly freeze with the sound looping quietly in the background. Other than that its a pretty solid game, and is very fun to play.

Annyway, Heres my Pros/Cons
Pros- Fun, Excellent MP, Has very memorable moments in the SP, MP has WTFOMG I DID THAT? Moments.
Cons- MP Crashes more than garry's mod!, SP is repetitive, PunkBuster has a memory leak, SP is INCREDIBLY SHORT(4-5Hours tops)

Its a pretty good game, if you buy it, you'll most likely be buying it for the MP. I give it a 4/5.

This is to test something.

Testing something that should show up, hopefully it does :)

X-Fire

Want to chat with me? Best bet would be xfire.

Add me on xfire - z0mb13cs is my username :)

What's a good game to stress my PC?

You'll see my specs on the right side 3 columns down, so what's a game to stress it really?

CoD4, Crysis, FSX, UT3, CoH, all run good for the most part, crysis slows down somewhat but its playable.

Comment with a good stressing game :)

Made a logo!

I decided to make a logo. I could make it ALOT better, but it was in paint, 20 minutes, and I'm semi tired. :P Tell me what you think of it so far anyway?

3gb.biz - Community Site

You know sites like myspace, facebook, basically any social networking site? This ones even better!

Well, Here's another one, and its actually quite nice! The design, layout, everything about it is really good! And, they don't need even that much information about you while signing up! The signup literally takes 10-15 seconds, and they even have an MP3 Stream type thing! its pretty neat! Go check out 3GB.Biz and make an account! Profiles look simple yet attractive too :) Signup now! I'm sure you would love it there. I plan to visit regularly quite soon, hope to see you there!

edit-sorry I couldn't do all the tags, they don't fit on Blogspot ;)

IP Address Tools @ whatismyipaddress.com

This is my review on the IP Address tools at Whatismyipaddress.com .

Well, I find them quite nice actually. They teach you everything you need to know, and even a little more than you need to, like how to trace emails, how to change your IP, etc. You can even trace other IPs if you have the need to :). The tools actually work quite nicely too :) They figure out my information quite nicely(except dynamic IP, cause it goes to the switching office :D) Anyway, You guys should definitely check out http://whatismyipaddress.com and look at all of their nifty IP tools. I find them really useful for certain things, and I'm sure you might find them useful too. Anyway, Whether your looking to trace a spammer down, or to just have a little fun, you should most likely find them useful :)

AMD/ATi HD 4 Series Specs!

This news is a little old, but since I just started the blog a few days ago, might as well post it.
(sorry about the charts, their a little screwy. still getting used to blogspot :P

Radeon HD 4000 series specifications surfaces
Written by Andreas G 15 February 2008 20:03

The ATI Radeon HD 4000 series is slated for late Q2. Information about the high-end RV770 has been leaking onto the web, from here and there, but the exact specifications has remained in the shadows. German hardware site Hartware.net has gotten their hands on what seems to be pretty authentic information. As far as we can tell, it looks believable and matches the rumors going around. We're still far away from the launch and the figures are subject to change. We also have some information on our own to share with you.

If you're into extreme single-core GPUs you may want to stop reading now. ATI's future is value-oriented and if you're longing for that 1 billion transistor megachip, you can stop doing it right now. ATI isn't into that. We should have told you this sooner. ATI is focusing on bang for the buck and if you want more performance you should get a second card, or get the card with two cores.

Considering the flexibility and scaling that CrossFireX offers, we're not exactly saddened by AMD's decision to steer ATI toward focusing more on the price/performance ratio than on raw performance. It is harder to write drivers for a multi-GPU, but when you make sure that you have a good foundation, such as CrossFireX, it might be worth the risk.

The information published elsewhere suggests that ATI will use GDDR5 to a great extent, which surprise us a little. On the other hand, ATI may know something about GDDR5 that we don't (we would be surprised otherwise). RV770 has GDDR5 support, but whether ATI will actually use it remains to be seen. GDDR4 with most of the high-end cards is a highly likely scenario. The frequencies suggested here are actually lower than what good GDDR4 chips are capable of.

RV770 will break 1TFLOPS, while the R700, with two RV770, should be capable of twice that, more than 2TFLOPS. This is higher than what he had expected, but then again the core frequencies are also higher than expected. All cores are made by TSMC and their 55nm process. We're still trying to hunt down more reliable information on the design of the "core".

On top of the information Hartware.net published we've completed the tables with some additional information, among others the target price points. AMD/ATI's goal is to keep the prices at a point where they are first of all affordable, but also a thorn in the side of NVIDIA. The prices in the table are the not the final MSRP, but the price ATI aims to stick below. Meaning that the retail prices should end up lower than what the tables shows.

When AMD/ATI, unveiled the Radeon HD 3000 series they had added a nifty feature called PowerPlay. PowerPlay dynamically controls the power consumption and will severely reduce the power consumption when idle, but also reduce the peak consumption somewhat. When we look at the figures they don't quite add up, but as stated above, these figures are all most likely going to change before the launch. The idle power consumptions of all cards are extremely low and even the dual-core Radeon HD 4870X2 will consume less than 25W when idle.

The number of TMUs have finally been increased, actually doubled, to 32 with RV770, while RV740 sports 24 TMUs, and the low-end RV710 has 8 TMUs. Don't bother getting upset with the 256-bit memory bus because it will not become any kind of bottleneck. The only time it might be even close to that is when you're pouring liquid nitrogen into the container and have the GPU running at +50% of stock frequency, which will happen though.

To end this long and speculative post, we would like to say that if not all, most of the variables here are subject to change and should be considered with a "tiny" pinch of salt. We're still 4 month away from the launch.

Crysis!

Well, I decided to review Crysis!!

Its got to be one of the best games I've played, but it REALLY needs a Beefy PC to play. My PC is above the recommended requirements and STILL can't play very high 100% smooth. Anyway, You start by jumping out of a plane and get hit by a flying alien machine, which you don't know what it was first. Than, you rendezvous with your squadmate, and look for a different one which wouldn't respond from the drop. He soon responds, and you rush too him, but its too late. Annnd CUTSCENE!

Did I mention these cutscenes look like freaking movies?? Their amazing!

Thats just a summary of the first 1/5th of the first level! Amazing right?

Yeah anyway, Ups-Fun, Great graphics, good gameplay!
Downs - Repetitive, Multiplayer isn't that good, needs an uber pc from 100 years in the future!

I'd say buy it. :D

Phenom 9500 Review

Ah yes, another review.

The Phenom 9500 is a great CPU for a low price. I got mine for about $200, and its great! The only games I have tried that use more than 1-2 Cores would be SupCom and Crysis, and they run great. And those worrying about the CPU TLB Errata, Don't. Its VERY HARD to reproduce. Just don't install the TLB Patch! it cripples performance alot!!

3870 X2 Review

Yep, I am reviewing a 3870 X2. I've had it for a few months, and so far its amazing.

When it first came out, the drivers were not that good. But, now they have improved drastically and performance has gotten ALOT better.
My benchmarks so far -

Crysis - Very High - 1280x1024 - average - 22.5FPS
Crysis - High - 1280X1024 - average - 24.8
UT3 - Didn't run any benchies on it, but its smooth as butter. - Usually about 70-100FPS
Assassins Creed - Smooth as can be - No benchmark available, but averages about 30-40FPS
Gears of war - Guess :P Smooth as can be, about the same FPS as UT3. - No benchmark available

Is there anything this card can't do? This card runs EVERYTHING smooth as can be, with no struggles and can only get better. You can buy them for about $400 USD now, and it beats every card except the 9800GX2, which is a little over priced in my opinion.

First post!

Well, I decided to make a blog, so stuff I find interesting will be here.

I know I have no viewers yet, but I can get them quite quickly :P

Anyway, Yeah. Welcome to my blog!
